I would prefer either anniversary edition or global. The game only implements the 1942 edition of the game rules (with some tweaks like no landing ally fighters on carriers, although that might change in the future).If you don't play with a bid, this isn't a problem. We were playing Axis and Allies, but online. I have been able to make it through multiple games with friends, and haven't come across any major issues. Sign up for the account, start a game, and play your turn when it comes. That being said, I typically turn them off because they do draw out battles longer than they need to be. The interface is pretty, what with the animations and such.My friends and I have started playing, and it's not a bad experience.
